Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
"Joy is prayer. Joy is strength. Joy is love. Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls."--Mother Teresa.
“The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.” Prov. 10:28.
Finding joy in the season of Advent and Christmas can be daunting. So much additional work to do! Exhausting,
mostly superfluous, shopping trips. So many gift ideas to extract from unresponsive, blank thoughts. Juggling family
obligations with the opposing desires of other family. Where is the joy?
“The joy of Christmas is found in Jesus. He is the only source that can produce lasting joy in our lives. Joy is therefore
a choice and it centers on our willingness to choose to surrender ourselves to Jesus or not.” –Michael McCartney
This month we will examine the scriptures of prophecy pointing to the coming of our Savior, then the fulfillment of
those scriptures at His birth. We will also look forward to His coming again on the clouds of heaven. “He who
testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen”(Rev. 22:20-21)
