Dear Brothers and Sisters of Courage,
So you don't believe you have much courage? Can you sometimes relate to Gideon in the Bible whom the Angel of the Lord called "mighty man of valor" while he was threshing his grain in a deep hole in the ground out of fear of his neighbors? Perhaps we think of courage as utter fearlessness, so we don't think of ourselves as particularly courageous.
Courage is defined by Webster's Dictionary as the willingness to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty or intimidation with the moral strength to make a right decision without hesitation regardless of one's own fears.
This month we will look at godly Christian courage. We can gain courage by examining instances of courage in the Scriptures and by looking at the many exhortations there to give us encouragement.
