To all Praying People,
Jeremiah 8 records a sad lament. "The harvest is past, the summer has ended, and we are not saved."
Originally lamenting that the nation had NOT been saved from invading armies, the verse can still be applied to our lives today:
- Another summer coming, going, and our nation did not turn to the Lord who gave us the very freedoms we prize so highly
- A season came and went in our life and God seemingly never intervened
- Summer has come and gone and millions of God's precious children remain in their sins
Jeremiah 8 ends on the same sad note: "Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?"
Jesus is that balm for all our wounds. Let us pray that all people everywhere may experience His presence in their lives.
