Holiness before God, this seems unreachable, unattainable, impossible for us. How can we be holy when every part of our life is somehow tainted by sin?

"Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!" 1 Cor. 15:57

"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 25For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." 1 Pet. 2:24-25

Because we are loved, because He gave His life for us, because we have that confidence, we have a reason to strive toward holiness.

"58Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1Cor. 15: 58

We will meditate on holiness as we pray for the poor and the needy and for our Christian brothers and sisters who attend another church than do we.
